PHOENICIA. Tyre. 126/5 BC-AD 65/6. Shekel (Silver, 24 mm, 14.16 g, 12 h), CY 152 = AD 26/7. Laureate head of Melkart to right, lion skin tied around neck. Rev. TYPOY IEPA[Σ KAI AΣYΛOY] Eagle standing left on prow, palm frond in background; to left, PNB above club; to right, KP above monogram; between the eagle's legs, uncertain letter. DCA Tyre 544 (R3; same dies). HGC 10, 357. RPC I 4662. Removed from NGC encapsulation 4884154-005, graded VF (Strike 3/5, Surface 5/5). A rare date. Nicely toned. Struck from a worn obverse die and with areas of flatness on the reverse, otherwise, good fine.
